A presentation at the Clarence Hotel, Tenby, last week, resulted in the local fundraising branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind receiving the magnificent donation of £505.

The chairperson and members wish to say a huge thank you to the Clarence Hotel, with special thanks to Heather for all her hard work.

This annual donation is a much appreciated contribution towards the training of guide dogs for visually impaired people.

Accepting the donation was branch secretary, Eva Rich, who was accompanied by her guide dog Oyster, together with John Dabbs, of Tenby, with his very new guide dog, Angel. Sadly, John's four-year-old guide dog Candy had to be put to sleep earlier in the year, and he has now recently trained with Angel, who like Oyster is two-years-old.

The Clarence Hotel has been a supporter of Guide Dogs for many years, and sincere thanks are extended to all concerned.

Another surprise donation also arrived this week, a generous sum of £144 from the Bayley family from East Williamston. This excellent sum was raised by the collection of small change in what must be a very large jar. Again grateful thanks to you all for your continued support.
