At the annual general meeting of Narberth Civic Week, the officers elected were as follows: honorary president - Wyn Calvin MBE; life president - Eric Feetham MBE; chair - Elizabeth Rogers; vice-chair - Denise Rigby; treasurer - June Ashdown; secretary - Caroline Coaker; press officer - Suzanne Radford Smith; carnival co-ordinater - David Norcross; committee members - John Williams, Gordon Barry, Ruth Barnes, Wendy Rossiter, Richard Ford, Sue Harry and Francis Requena. Elizabeth thanked the committee for all their help and hard work in 2007 and all who contributed to make Civic Week the success that it was. Matters discussed were forthcoming events for this year, while it is hoped that the RNLI will arrange a quiz, and old favourites such as the bingo, quilting exhibition and fun nights organised by the pubs will continue. It is also hoped that a new event will replace the much missed pram push. The committee also hope that a by-law will be put in place to ban silly string on carnival day.
