With a number of potentially major proposals due to come before planners and licensing authorities in the next few months, Tenby Civic Society has decided that before responding to these it must ask its members what kind of Tenby they want.

The most important of these proposals is likely to concern the development of St. Catherine's Island with the installation of a bridge from the mainland, but there are also schemes being discussed for the Harbour. They will all have an impact on much loved views and upon the conservation of an historic town, but perhaps more importantly, they are likely to have an impact on what kind place Tenby is to live in. Only the people of Tenby can decide whether they want to place greater emphasis on attractions for visitors or upon the needs of residents. For that reason, the Civic Society is circulating a questionnaire to its members outlining the issues and asking for views.

If anyone who is not currently a member of the Civic Society wishes to participate in the survey, they can join by obtaining an application form from Albie Smosarski, Cofion Books, Bridge Street, Tenby.
