Members of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority's development management committee have agreed to a site visit to inspect whether an area of land is suitable for a proposed civic amenity and recycling centre.
Committee members agreed to the recommendation by the authority's planning officers, when the application, submitted by Pembrokeshire County Council, came up at their meeting on Wednesday morning in Pembroke Dock.
The application proposes the construction of a civic amenity and recycling centre on a site to the west of Brooklands Nursing Home, near New Hedges.
The scheme involves the provision of a range of waste management facilities to be contained within a central operating area and served by a public access road directly from the A478.
The site visit is due to take place on Monday, June 3, committee members were told at their meeting, with the application due to be considered later that month.
