St. Mary's Parish Church fete was held on Wednesday, July 24, in the grounds of St. Mary's Church.

At 1 pm the town crier Mr. John Thomas opened the fete, then the people who had queued outside rushed in to buy from the many and varied stalls.

A very big thank you must go to all the stallholders, the people who helped to put up the stalls and those who gave the wonderful raffle prizes. Also a thank you must go to the Mothers' Union who made Welsh cakes and served tea in the new kitchen.

The total raised by the Parish came to £2,600.
