Pembrokeshire residents who have their refuse collected on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will have slight changes to their collections over the Christmas period, Pembrokeshire County Council has announced this week. Householders whose collections would be due on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day will have their refuse collected as follows: Christmas Day: collection on Saturday, December 22. Boxing Day: collection on Saturday, December 29. New Year's Day: collection on Sunday, December 30. "As we do not offer a refuse service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day, it is necessary for us to make changes," said Clr. Huw George, cabinet spokesperson for the environment, planning and regulatory services. "Collections on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays are unaffected over this period." "Please make sure that your refuse is put out earlier than usual - collections during this period may take place up to two hours before your normal time."
