Heavy rain on Friday caused problems around the county.

One of the worst hit places was Station Road, Saundersfoot, outside the entrance to the railway station, where 12 inches of water had gathered.

Between 9.10 am and 3.30 pm, Pembrokeshire County Council dealt with 65 reports of flooding to highways and properties around the county.

Some roads became impassable to cars, including the Lamphey to Manorbier road. Elsewhere, a car, with occupants trapped, became stuck on the Jeffreyston to Loveston road at Trunkspool, while a tree came down blocking the stream at Cosheston.

The authority reported surface water on roads and gullies blocked at a number of locations, including between Pembroke and Lamphey, A4139 at The Clicketts, Tenby, The Ridgeway, Saundersfoot, Amroth, Orange Gardens, Pembroke, Fort Road, Pembroke Dock, Station Road, Saundersfoot, Angle Village, A4115 between Templeton and Cross Hands, B4318 at Heatherton, B4318 Gumfreston - Tenby, Clynderwen, Cole Lane, St. Florence.

There were also reports of properties flooded or at risk of flooding at Wheelers Way, Manorbier, Molleston, Orchard Gardens, Pembroke, Grove Court, St. Florence, Llanteg, Tenby Market, Kavanagh Court, Pembroke Dock, and Valley Road, Saundersfoot.

A flood alert was issued by the Environment Agency for rivers in north and west Pembrokeshire, while there was also one for the Taf and Cynin catchment areas in the east of the county.

Firefighters from Tenby were called out dealing with flooding at Upper Park Road outside the town's Sainsbury's.
