A busy and colourful day was enjoyed by punters and stall holders who attended the fayre, organised by the Friends of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, at the De Valence Pavilion on Saturday, November 17. This third fayre raised over £650 which will go towards funding museum projects in the coming year.

Many regular stall holders were there and the stalls were very bright and distinctive, and displayed a very wide range of goods, old postcard collections, wooden toys, a great choice of cards, prints and pictures - which ranged from large brilliantly coloured canvasses to small delicate paintings and drawings of animals - many crafted goods, painted shell models, pottery, jewellery, embroidery, knitting, sewing and engraved crystals; also several stalls had collectables.

Thanks go to all the stall holders and customers.

Adding to the festive mood were the Christmas decorations in the De Valence, for which many thanks go to Mr. Harry Ward for these and setting up all the tables, and organising all the other necessary arrangements.

The raffle was even more successful than last year. Of the many prizes, some were given by the committee and members of the Friends and by the following local businesses: Cook's Corner (Tenby Market), T. P. Hughes, Jago, Equinox, and Londis (Trafalgar Stores). Many thanks to all these and a special thank you to Mrs. Joyce Mawdsley for doing the Christmas hampers.

The Friends hope to organise a fourth fayre next year, and anyone interested in having a stall should contact Ann Lukes on (01834) 843123, who will have application forms to send out in early summer 2002. Anyone wanting more information about the Friends, should also contact her.
