Supreme from the cattle entries was an 18-month- old heifer bred by Kevin and Linda Williams by a Limousin bull from a Limousin cross Aberdeen Angus cow. Taking best and reserve from the lamb entries were Adrian and Amanda Windsor with pens of June born pure bred Texels. Cattle: Best Butchers steer and reserve champion - Robert Coney, Lower Town End, Lampeter Velfrey (615 kilos Limousin sold at 140ppk); res - Kevin Williams, Natts Hook Farm, Portfield Gate (645 kilos Limousin sold at 135ppk). Best Butchers heifer and champion beast - Kevin Williams (510 kilos Limousin sold at 210ppk). Sheep: Best pen of butchers lambs up to 37.5 kilos - W. John, Pantyderi Farm, Whitland (34.5 kilos sold at 100.80ppk); res - Jenkins, Llwyncrwn, Llangynin (37.5 kilos sold at 90.66ppk); 38 kilos and over and champion pen - Windsor and Son, Fforest Farm, Whitland (44.5 kilos sold at 157.30ppk) and res (41 kilos sold at 119.50ppk).
