A number of arts and crafts workshops have been held in the run up to Christmas at the Old Priory Inn in Monkton.

Pip and Guy from 'Space to Create' have been a creative inspiration, showing members of Monkton Youth Club how to make Christmas wreaths using natural materials and craft club members how to print their own cards.

In addition, a lantern training workshop was held in mid-November enabling a group of adults to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to help run a lantern making workshop later in the month.

Over 40 lanterns have been made - a great effort from all those involved.

These lanterns will be used in a 'Carols by Lantern Light' event that will take place at The Old Priory Inn, Monkton, on Wednesday, December 21, from 3 pm onwards.
