Following the success of the pilot street markets on Tenby's South Parade during the summer, two Christmas markets will take place on Sunday, December 12, and Sunday, December 19. The organising and promotion of the markets has now been transferred from Tenby Town Council to Tenby Events Management Ltd (TEM) and their new event co-ordinator for Tenby and district, Liz Hart. Funded by European Objective One Funding, TEM is responsible for the co-ordination and promotion of existing events and the creation of new events in Tenby and surrounding district. "We aim to have 25 stalls in South Parade on two Sundays leading up to Christmas and the response from stallholders has been very positive, though there are a few stalls still available," explained Liz Hart. "We aim to continue the market throughout the year and the focus is very much about local hand-made crafts and produce." The cost of each stall is £25 per day, including hire of covered stall, or £20 if the stallholder has their own stall. For further details on hiring a pitch, contact Jenni or Liz at Tenby Arts Centre based at the De Valence on (01834) 843568.
