Tenby Junior School held their annual recycling event on Tuesday. Pupils were asked to decorate a school tree with decorations made from recycled materials. They then had to perform a Christmas song with a twist, a song with lyrics relating to recycling. The tree winners were Dosbarth Cymraeg and the award for best song was given to Year 3. Diolch i bawb wnaeth gymryd rhan. Thanks to Marten and Sam from Darwin Experience for giving up their time for being our judges.

Alfie Evans only Welsh Winner!

Tenby Junior School entered the Sustrans competition 'Be a Two Zero hero' in October. Alfie Evans, a Year 3 pupil, came third in his year group and was the only Welsh winner.

The celebrity judge, Miranda Krestovnikoff, chose Alfie's because it was "simple, powerful and to the point - really strong image".

On Tuesday, Howard Yeates, the Sustrans officer, along with Clr. Williams from Pembrokeshire County Council and Tenby Councillor Mike Evans presented Alfie with an amazing bag of goodies for himself and a scooter pod for the school!

The school are now hoping to encourage all drivers to drive slower past the school with their banner with Alfie's design!
