On Tuesday, December 7, the annual Carol Service for Ty Hafan was able to take place once again at the National Trust Stackpole Centre.

Despite the awful weather, approximately 45 people were able to able to attend the service, where the leader of Manorbier Home Church, Pastor Peter Morgan, retold the wonderful Christmas story in an amusing but definitive way. The carols were enjoyed by everyone, very ably accompanied by Mr. Eric Scourfield on the keyboard.

Before the service, the congregation enjoyed coffee and mince pies and engaged in the tombola and a collection was taken to raise funds for the hospice.

Miss Shelley Kirkham, a spokesperson for Ty Hafan, gave an update about the hospice and the struggles they have faced through the pandemic. She was delighted and very grateful to receive the sum of £539.27 raised by the congregation.

Pastor Peter Morgan expressed grateful thanks to the Stackpole Trust for the use of the centre and the wonderful volunteers who worked so hard to organise the events. “May I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.”
