The International Chopper Club recently held a rally in Narberth to raise funds for the Queen's Hall and the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
The club holds an annual festival, hosted each year by a different country in Europe. This year it was the turn of the Welsh club to act as host, and the festival was held at Meidrim over the August bank holiday weekend.
Simon Vaughan, the club organiser for Pembrokeshire, said that members were present from all over Europe. Over 600 motorbikes and trikes were present on the town's moor for the rally, and many of the residents and visitors to the town enjoyed the wonderful display of pristine machines.
Mr. Vaughan said that there would have been many more, but for the vagaries of the weather, and the foot and mouth crisis had discouraged some members from attending.
As the club will not be returning to Wales for 10 years, Narberth was very lucky to have this opportunity of seeing such a fine display.
