Keith Towler, Children's Commissioner for Wales, joined staff and pupils at Dyffryn Taf as part of his 10th anniversary celebration.
Pupils and teachers welcomed Keith Towler last Wednesday. The visit formed part of the Commissioner's national tour of Welsh schools, in which he hopes to explore the current state of childhood in each of Wales' local authorities.
The Children's Commissioner went on a tour of the school with the Head Boy and Head Girl where he took the opportunity to look around the facilities and meet teachers and pupils.
He said: "Meeting children and young people across Wales is not only one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role, it is also one of the most important. I enjoyed my visit to Dyffryn Taf. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to hear from children about their daily experiences and the issues that most affect them."
He later posted a comment on Twitter saying how impressed he was with the work of the school council.
