The Lady Taverners held their Cricket Match and Fun Day recently, at Manor House Wildlife Park, by kind invitation from Anna Ryder Richardson.

Local disabled and special needs children took part in a fun game of Kwik Cricket assisted by junior Pembrokeshire cricketers.

The teams were England v Australia and excitingly England won!

The match was run by Alex Kemp and Phil Thomas, with Ray Kane acting as commentator.

Lady Taverners Jane Kemp, Sara Thomas, Brenda Cook and Penny Davies were present, with Penny, once again scoring the game. Radio Pembrokeshire's Jim Hughes came along to interview organisers and players.

A lot of fun was had by everyone and the children were delighted when Casualty star Charles Dale arrived to join in.

Each child was presented with a trophy by Anna, and then they spent the rest of the day enjoying the park.

The West Wales Lady Taverners would like to thank Anna Ryder Richardson for the wonderful hospitality and Charles Dale for being their guest celebrity.

A special thank you to Hilary Woodburn for taking the photographs.
