Last month, Narberth Museum invited the local WI, Steps2Health, Landsker Quilters, and local school children and teenagers to take part in glass workshops.

The project was called 'Drawn Threads' (Reclaiming Pembrokeshire in glass.)

This idea was for people to draw their own experience of Pembrokeshire as part of The Big Draw.

The Big Draw is a campaign to encourage people to draw all over the country.

For the workshop, some brought along objects from the environment or photographs to inspire their designs.

Artist Linda Norris helped them to draw their designs on glass patches that she fused together in her kiln. These made glass quilts, telling the story of Pembrokeshire by people of all ages.

"Today (November 13), we are taking over Narberth Museum as part of Kids in Museums Takeover Day," wrote Year 5 pupils Aine, Hetty and Ben, from Narberth School.

"We are putting up an exhibition of the drawings from the glass workshops in the museum cafe and will be making lunch for everyone.

"We are also taking over the museum's Twitter and Facebook and this report will also be on the museum's website: http://www.narberthmuseum.co.uk," they">www.narberthmuseum.co.uk," they added.

The drawings are available for free viewing at Narberth Museum and soon the glass quilts will also be on display in the museum's cafe.

Thank you goes to everyone who took part in the workshops and to Linda Norris.
