Budding athletes completed another successful week of multi-sports over half term.

The sun was shining at St. Florence School as the children took part in a variety of different sports and activities throughout the week.

The children made the most of the sunshine, and got fit and active outdoors under the supervision of 'coach Sion' and 'coach Scott'.

Throughout the week, the children got the opportunity to play football, cricket, lacrosse, hockey, tennis, basketball, rugby, athletics, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, kick it cricket, as well as a number of different games and activities.

The 'World Cup' themed week allowed the children to dress up as their favourite footballers or as a representative for their favourite country.

They also took part in 'Wicked World Cup Wednesday' when they chose a country for the day, and competed against other children in different games and activities to win points.

Archie Smith (Spain) was on top form and lifted the 'World Cup' at the end of the day, winning it by a clear distance.

Thursday was, once again, dress your coach up day - the children's favourite, which saw coach Sion and coach Scott covered in make-up, lipstick and nail varnish and also wearing various items of clothes brought in by the children, including a bra, dress, pants, swimming hat, masks and wigs.

A presentation ceremony was held in the school on Friday afternoon, with trophies, medals and certificates given out to the children.

The player-of-the-week went to Charlie Arthur and the SportStar-of-the-week went to Dixie MacDougall. Every child was presented with a certificate.

It was a fantastic week once again at St. Florence. The energy and enthusiasm that the children had to offer was superb. Courses are being held at St. Florence School over the summer holidays (week two and four) and a potential course is being held at Tenby Junior School.
