Span Arts are inviting children, young people and older people to get involved in a digital arts project this summer.

Clwb Digi Cares is a programme whose aim is to address issues of loneliness and isolation experienced by younger and older members of our communities, using creative technology as a medium to open new and creative channels of communication.

In the context of COVID 19 many children and young and older people will have had limited opportunities to participate in creative projects and had to cope with separation from meaningful relationships with either the older or younger generation respectively.

Shared Worlds is a participatory intergenerational Digital Arts Project which provides an exciting opportunity for children and young people age 8 – 16 and older people over 50 to work together in small intergenerational groups alongside a professional artist, on one of a range of art forms including: Visual Art; Music; Movement; Literature; Film and Moving Image.

Scheduled regular on-line sessions with the Artists will run over a period of 4-8 weeks taking place over the summer of 2020.

Parents/Guardians will need to complete an expression of interest form on behalf of the child/young person. Please email Pip Lewis Clwb Digi Project manager [email protected] to request a form. by Friday, July 10.

The project runs until January 2021 and is funded by West Wales is Kind Investment Fund.
