There was another good turnout of Chicken Trotters last Friday morning.

Eighteen left the coop for their weekly flutter on the links and on this occasion it was fledgling Paul Davies who was again flying highest.

After spending a couple of weeks in the sin bin, Paul's handicap was restored to its maximum, and he made full use of his extra shots to return a healthy score of 30 points, earning himself a nice little sum of £2 into the bargain.

Oh dear, these youngsters never learn, do they. Bye, bye, handicap, hello bin... again!

Bouncing back to form after his booby exploits the previous week was Hywel Probert, who ran the winner close, his 29 points seeing him pocket £1.50 for second place.

And, as the saying goes, it's hard to keep a good man down... a fine example coming in the form of that man Stan Hudson. For, despite being 'down' in the bin and playing off a handicap of just eight, he again featured highly on the leaderboard.

His 28 points was good enough to see him finish in third place and boost his bank balance by a round £1.

No twos last week, with Richard Morgan being the only other man in the money as he had his entry fee returned after claiming the booby on 15 points.
