At the September meeting of the Kilgetty, Begelly Community Council, it was decided to make six donations of £50 to local charities or local branches of national charities.
The six charities selected were the Samaritans, Cruse, St. Mary's Church, Begelly, Bobath 15, Wales Air Ambulance and Crossroads.
The donations were made at the Community Hall prior to the November meeting of the council. Unfortunatly, Bobath 15 and Cruise were unable to send representatives to receive their donations. Their cheques were posted on to them.
The Samaritans sent Dr. RoyAllan, Rev. Sarah Geach received the cheque for St. Mary's Church, Michael Ashbridge attended on behalf of the Wales Air Ambulance and Helen Sutherland attended on behalf of Crossroads.
The chairman of the community council, Clr. Trevor Andrews (pictured wearing his chain of office), presented the cheques to the four representatives All the charities have expressed their thanks for the support of the council.
