Clive Lewis, of Stonelea, New Hedges, is shown presenting a £4,000 cheque to staff of Tenby Surgery at The Norton, Tenby.

This the main portion of the proceeds Clive raised from walking his ninth UK Marathon for Diabetes. The donation will purchase an ankle brachial pressure index kit, a diabetic foot kit and an electronic phlebotomy chair with arm rests for the diabetic department at the surgery.

All these much needed pieces of specialised equipment is not provided to the practice by the National Health Service which makes Clive more pleased to help in this way.

Indeed, he has used this means of distribution from many of his previous 100-150-mile walks throughout the United Kingdom.

He is already in the early stages of planning for his proposed 2008 event, so if anyone would wish to support him, please send a cheque or postal order made payable to Diabetes UK and endorsed for Clive Lewis Marathons.

He takes this opportunity to once again thank all the many hundreds of people who have supported him over a quarter-of-a-century.
