A presentation was made last Wednesday to the Saundersfoot branch of the RNLI by Ian, landlord of the Templebar at Amroth. He had been raising money throughout December for the RNLI by running raffles, bingo nights on Tuesdays and quiz nights on alternate Wednesdays. A wonderful total of £600 was presented to Monica McDowell, president of the Saundersfoot branch of the RNLI, who extended on behalf of the RNLI, her appreciation for the efforts made and the sum raised.
Saundersfoot branch of the RNLI are frequently to be seen raising funds by their sales of souvenirs in the Saundersfoot Harbour area from May to September and are always happy to welcome offers of help.
Anyone wanting to support the branch should contact Sam Turner on (01834) 811661 or 812778 or email [email protected].
The next event the branch is running is the SOS, soup lunch, to be held on Friday, January 27, 12.30-2 pm, at Saundersfoot Sailing Club. Entry is £5 to include soup, roll and cheese.
