Paul Sartori Foundation Pembrokeshire Hospice at Home was pleased to welcome Mr. Malcolm Calver, of Manorbier, to their appeals office in Haverfordwest, recently.  Mr. Calver was thanked for his activity to secure funds for the Hospice at Home service.  The  charity's annual house to house collection takes place during the summer and Mr. Calver undertakes this task around Manorbier and district with the help of his wife, Monica. He also organises a prize draw and football game to raise funds for Paul Sartori Foundation at summer fetes, such as St. James Fair, St. Florence Carnival and Manorbier Castle Fun Day. He has also approached numerous businesses and individuals to donate prizes. The total of £2,744.92 was handed over to Paul Sartori Foundation for 2007. "We are delighted to have the support of the community of Manorbier and especially grateful for the hard work of Mr. Calver which has enabled such a grand sum of money to be raised. Raising funds for our Hospice at Home is so necessary as we would be unable to continue without the actions of individuals like Mr. Calver," said Lorna Johns, hospice director. The annual house to house collection will take place once again in 2008 between June 21 and July 20, and the charity would welcome more volunteers to help with this event, tel. 01437 763223.
