Pembrokeshire Police are inviting anyone interested in becoming a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator to 'cheese and crime' evenings.

The events are open to all current co-ordinators and anyone interested in setting up the scheme.

It is an opportunity for people to meet other co-ordinators, find out about the scheme and other initiatives being run by Pembrokeshire Police.

Community safety officer PC Sue Blacklaw-Jones said: "Neighbourhood Watch is a vital part of neighbourhood policing.

"The cheese and crime evenings are an ideal opportunity for co-ordinators and potential co-ordinators to come and meet their local police contact and find out how they can help us to reduce the fear of crime in our communities."

The events are taking place between 7 and 9 pm on Wednesday, June 17, at the Lecture Theatre, Pembrokeshire College, and on Thursday, June 18, at Pembroke Town Hall, Main Street, Pembroke.

Anyone wanting more information can contact PC Blacklaw-Jones at Haverfordwest community safety via 101.
