Sir,
I write to express my sincere thanks to all supporters of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in the area for their ongoing help and commitment to our cause during 2009.
As a charity, we rely upon donations of time and money from kind-hearted people to continue our life-saving work and without our volunteers and supporters we would not be able to raise the vital funds needed to achieve this.
February is National Heart Month, a time when the BHF asks everyone to think about their own heart health and that of their loved ones and to take steps to improve it.
We are also appealing to people to support this campaign by Going Red for Heart. Simply wear something red on February 26, National Wear Red Day, and make a donation or organise a red event any time during February.
We've got lots of red hot ideas. You can order your free fund-raising pack from http://www.bhf.org.uk/red">www.bhf.org.uk/red or contact me on 01554 891 500, email [email protected]">[email protected]
With the support of your readers, we can beat heart disease.
May I take this opportunity to wish all of your readers a healthy new year.
Jayne Lewis,
Fund-raising volunteer manager,
South West and Mid Wales.
