Welsh charity LATCH has received a Christmas gift in the form of a cheque for £6,160 raised by over 150 adults and children who took part in a Walk for Phoebe and Friends, a sponsored walk from Saundersfoot to Wiseman's Bridge and back again earlier this autumn.
The cheque was presented to Helen Gravelle, chairman of the Carmarthen branch of Llandough Aims to Treat Children with cancer and leukaemia, at an assembly at Saundersfoot CP School last week.
Seen here with Mrs. Gravelle are the Rev. Michael Butler, chairman of the school governors, who took the assembly during which the cheque was presented; Gill Priestland, who organised the walk after local toddler Phoebe Munro-Goddard was diagnosed with leukaemia during the summer; Sally Munro, Phoebe's grandmother; and four pupils of Saundersfoot School.
