FOLLOWING his early festive charity dip, local fund- raiser Freddy Brown wishes to thank everyone who has made a donation towards his quest to raise money for a new prostate cancer laser machine for Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
Sixty-nine-year-old Freddy, who has never missed a Boxing Day Swim in Tenby or the New Year's Day Swims at Saundersfoot and Amroth, still managed to take the plunge, along with his dog Shep, at all three locations before the events took place, as he knew he would be away on holiday over the Christmas period.
"I've had a tremendous response and can't thank people enough for their sponsorship," said Freddy. "I was gutted to have missed the actual events, but I managed to group together a crowd of Welsh people who were staying at the same hotel in Tenerife, and we all ran into the sea on New Year's Day to mark the occasion," he added.
