A TEAM of runners from the Mews Bistro, Tenby - the Invitation XV - were pleased recently to contribute £300 to a local and national charity.
On July 29 this year, eight friends or associates of the Mews Bistro took part in the annual Tenby 10K - a race which cruelly seeks to cover every hill or incline in and around Tenby.
All eight team members finished (just) and raised £300 in sponsorship for their efforts.
The team's chosen beneficiaries this year are the Griff Fisher Cancer Charity and the Ty Hafan Children's Hospice for Wales.
In addition, Janina Evans, of Janina Louise House of Hair, raised £150 as part of the Tenby Ladies' Circle's current campaign to raise money for the Ty Hafan charity fund.
After the race, all of the runners' hard work was undone by a huge celebratory barbecue on the beach, sponsored by the Mews Bistro.
Thanks go to the team - Steve Sharma, Mike Evans, Julian Dessant, Paul Cowper, Julie Jones, Janina Evans, Hugh Jones and Paul Neate - and to their supporters.
