A charity competition is being held at Tenby Golf Club next Wednesday, May 26.
Organised by Jim Martin, it is an individual stableford competition being run as part of the nationwide GolfAbility 2010 event.
Entry fee is £3 and tee times are available from 9 am right through until 4.30 pm.
"This is in support of the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity and as we have a local home near Bancyfelin, I thought this would be an outstanding charity to support," said organiser Jim.
"Nearly all the funds raised will go direct to the charity and there will be a sweepstake for who can guess the winner, with half the money going to the charity," he added.
"I also intend to participate in the competition and will run a sponsorship asking 50p for every hole that I can walk and play. I will be using a buggy, as I do, but I am prepared to try and walk as many holes, despite the pain I know it will cause me, as I consider it trivial compared with what some people suffer, in an effort to raise money for what I consider a very worthy event."
The winner will receive a voucher for three days complimentary golf and buggy hire for four players at the Antequera Golf Course, Malaga, Spain, as well as a GolfAbility towel. Their card will also be entered into a national draw with the chance of playing in the grand final at the Forest of Arden.
