A charity presentation was held recently to hand over proceeds from the Chevron Pembrokeshire Team Challenge and Quadrathlon.
Each year, the event aims to raise between £2,000 and £3,000 for charity.
Since 2003, the organisers have supported PAG (Parent Action Group) and Sea Legs, both of which do a superb job of supporting local children.
This year, the event raised £2,600 to help support their activities, which was a fantastic effort by all teams involved.
The Team Challenge originally started in the mid-1990s, but switched to its current format in 2003 when the organisers were approached by the British Quadrathlon Association and asked to unite the two events and hold one of their national qualifiers, The Welsh Leg.
The quadrathlon involves four disciplines, swimming, cycling, kayaking and running.
Chevron has been the main sponsor of the event since 2005 and funds the bulk of the expenses, meaning the majority of the money raised by the event goes to the charities.
