Staff from Celtic Haven Resort, Lydstep, took to the saddle yesterday (Thursday) for a gruelling 12-hour cycle to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
The event was part of the charity's Go Pink Campaign, which runs throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and sees amazing people up and down the country getting creative to organise events with a pink theme.
Staff at Celtic Haven were taking turns on a gym bike in a team effort which aims to raise a substantial sum to support the charity's vital research.
The staff members have set themselves the ambitious target of cycling the distance from Lydstep to Bristol - a total of around 100 miles.
Supporters also enjoyed coffee and cake in The Spa, and enter a raffle to win gorgeous skin care prizes from Elemis and Thalgo.
The staff have also got the pink theme all stitched up, as they will be wearing their pink uniforms throughout October. First prize in the raffle is a gorgeous Elemis Alice Temperley set worth £79, with spectacular raffle prizes going to three more lucky winners. Raffle tickets cost just £1 a strip, and can be purchased from The Spa throughout October. The raffle will be drawn at the end of the month.
Kim Denning, managing director, said: "A special thank you goes to Sandyhill Nurseries for donating the beautiful balloons, Steffi's Cup Cakes for the delicious cakes for the coffee morning, and the Celtic Haven Leisure Club members and the team for their wonderful support."
