A group of people united by their passion for music will take to the stage on World Hospice Day to raise funds for a Pembrokeshire charity dedicated to providing care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Next month's concert, aptly billed as 'The Music Teachers', will feature musicians who teach music in Pembrokeshire and is being led by Pembrokeshire GP, Dr. Helena Richards, also a talented pianist and oboist.

Since relocating from London to practice in her home county of Pembrokeshire, Dr. Richards has become increasingly aware of the valuable support the Paul Sartori Foundation offers patients in Pembrokeshire and wanted to help raise funds for the charity.

"This charity gives support to anyone in Pembrokeshire who needs it, but its resources are finite,' she said. "I've seen directly how important this service is to some of my patients and wanted to show my support.'

Performers at the concert will include her sister, Lisa Richards, a music teacher at Sir Thomas Picton School, and Sarah Benbow, peripatetic singing teacher.

The event will be held at Folly Farm on October 8. Tickets, priced at £6 and £4, are available from the booking office at Folly Farm, Victoria Bookshop, Haverfordwest, and Kismet, Pembroke. All proceeds will be donated to the Paul Sartori Foundation.
