One of the first Noah's Ark 'Largest Ever Coffee Mornings' took place at Dyfed-Powys Police HQ, Llangunnor, Carmarthen, on Friday.

The host was Debbie Rutter, Mayor of Whitland and fund-raising co-ordinator of Dyfed-Powys Police.

In attendance were the Chief Constable, Mr. Terence Grange, local dignitaries, Mayor of Ammanford, Mair Hutchings, Mayor of Haverfordwest, Charles Davies, Deputy Mayor of Haverfordwest, Roy Thomas, Deputy Mayor of Carmarthen, Bill Jones and Mrs. Mona Jones; also in attendance were Mr. Lyn Davies from Bancyfelin, Mrs. Lynn Jones (Pendine Football Club), Mrs. Wendy Anthony (Virgin Vie Cosmetics), Mrs. Kathy Phillips (Whitland Twinning Association) and Mr. Gordon Jones (Rotary Club).

All guests will now host their own coffee mornings, inviting seven to attend; these seven will in turn host a coffee morning, inviting six to attend and so on.

This scheme has the potential of raising nearly £1,000,000 for the Noah's Ark Appeal as long as the chain does not break.
