Two ladies with a fear of heights overcame their phobia on Saturday when they absiled down the keep at Pembroke Castle.

Anna Willington and close family friend Helen Hansford undertook the dare-devil challenge in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission in memory of Anna’s brother Spike and nephew Dan who sadly lost their lives in a fishing tragedy off the Pembrokeshire coast.

“We both have a phobia of heights, but the abseil was amazing,” said Anna. “We both thoroughly enjoyed it and of course it was for a really good cause.”

Although the final total is not known, Anna and Helen hope to have raised around £2,000.
