Charity car boot sales at New Hedges, which have raised over £12,000 in the past six years, raised another £2,000 for local charities this summer - despite the inclement weather.

The '4 Charity' boot sales are organised by Norman Hanlon and Geraldine Smith, who were delighted to hand over cheques for £500 each to four local worthy causes at a presentation ceremony at Kilgetty Community Centre on Monday night.

Pictured receiving the cheques are Arthur Ray, of the Kilgetty Praise Group, Bryn Rees, of the Good News Christian Mobile Library, Andrew Rees for the Tenby Christmas Lighting Fund, and Deryn Brace, of Tenby AFC.

With them, and with grateful thanks for all their efforts, are boot sale helpers Dene and Sharon Hardwick, Jill Ray and Meg Brace, of Priory Farm Shop, New Hedges, who very kindly supplies the field for the sales.

Special thanks also to all those who attend the boot sales throughout the summer, without whom the money would not have been raised.
