Sir,
I write in relation to a news bulletin printed in the October 9 edition of the Tenby, Narberth and Whitland Observer: 'Application withdrawn. A proposal to convert the redundant Tabernacle Chapel, Narberth, into a nursery and soft area has been withdrawn, members of the town council heard recently.'
We submitted a planning application on advice from the planning department, however once they received our application, they then decided that we no longer required formal planning as we were not changing the defined use of the building and therefore we were able to go ahead with our development.
The development was delayed slightly due to needing listed buildings consent as the building is Grade 2 listed which we have now secured.
The combined day nursery and soft play centre will open early 2010, with the nursery opening January and the soft play February.
Our concern over the published news bulletin is that many of our target market have been misled thinking we are no longer going ahead with the project, resulting in being asked on a number of occasions what is actually happening.
