There were some new faces taking over the chairman roles of committees following annual council recently.
Conservative councillor David Howlett takes over as planning committee chairman from unaffiliated Clr. Jacob Williams.
He claimed victory with 27 votes to Clr. Williams’s 26.
Another Conservative councillor, Mark Carter, is vice-chairman.
The IPPG’s Clr. Reg Owens will take over the licensing committee chairman’s role from Labour’s Clr. Tom Tudor.
Clr. Owens received 32 votes to Cllr Tudor’s 23.
Vice-chairman will be Conservative councillor Aaron Carey.
The new chairman of the democratic services committee is Clr. Paul Rapi, Plaid Cyrmu, nominated by unaffiliated Clr. Michelle Bateman, who will take over as vice chairman.
