Chancers in Pembroke Dock is relaunching tomorrow (Saturday) after the refurbishment of its gig room. A much bigger stage area will now give bands the space they need to put on a great show! Chancers has always welcomed and nurtured local talent and up-and-coming bands and now, during the second half of 2007, they are offering even more to bands playing at the venue. Chancers, in association with Gwala Promotions, are holding a Band of the Year 2007 competition with some amazing prizes for the winners, including £500 cash, three days in Mwnci Studios, location promo photoshoots, a 2008 mini-tour and a support slot with a 'name' band. After Chancers hold their re-launch night tomorrow (Saturday) with some very special guests, local bands will have the opportunity to show their talents in a more professional environment in what is becoming one of the best small live music venues in Pembrokeshire. Local bands will have the opportunity to play with bands from around the UK as Gwala Promotions work with Chancers to put on live music events every fortnight starting on June 9.
