HYWEL Dda Health Board chairman Chris Martin spent some time volunteering at Glangwili Hospital last week as part of National Volunteer Week.

Mr. Martin met Natasha on Cilgerran Ward where he helped meet and play with some of the children in the ward.

He then went on to pharmacy where he joined volunteer Susan delivering medicines to wards.

He said: "Spending time volunteering has given me an opportunity to understand a bit more about what they do, but also an opportunity to say thank you to them.

"Therefore on behalf of the health board I would like to say a huge thank you to all our fantastic volunteers who give up their time everyday to support patients and staff across our three counties."
