BREATHE PROPERLY
Most people don’t think about breathing during cardiovascular exercise and consequently end up inhaling and exhaling rapidly. This stimulates the flight-fight mechanism and is very inefficient. If we can elongate and control each exhalation, we can improve our cardiovascular conditioning.
When you lift weights breathe out. Begin breathing out right as you pick up the weight. Breathe in through your nose in a controlled manner as you lower the weight. Lowering weight requires less exertion, which makes it an ideal time to inhale.
