PACK ON MORE MUSCLE BY TAKING A LONGER BREAK
A study in ‘Experimental Physiology’ compared five-minute rest periods between sets of weight training to one-minute breaks and found that the extended recovery time doubled the rate of rebuilding and growing damaged muscle cells. Five minutes is a long rest period, therefore, we could make it an active recovery, such as cycling easy on a stationary bike.
