ALTERNATE TAKES ON SUPERFOODS
Moving from the realm of regular fare to superfood stardom can change everything for a foodstuff, with a price to match. Some are also hard to find in supermarkets and some aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Some mainstream alternatives include: switching chia seeds for cheaper linseeds; switching goji berries for any kind of in season berries - raspberries, strawberries, blueberries etc; switching quinoa for brown rice, barley and lentils and getting the same fibre and protein hit; switching kale for in season spinach or broccoli, which is just as nutritious.
