Organisers of the first-ever Celtic North Pembrokeshire Charity Classic Run are busy with final preparations for the event which will take place on Saturday, June 4, with the first cars/bikes covering many decades of motoring, as well as more modern classics.

They are scheduled to start from Scolton Manor, near Haverfordwest, at 11 am, before embarking on a leisurely 60-mile run taking in some of North Pembrokeshire’s most stunning scenery, with comfort stops along the route.

Entrants will make their way along the beautiful coastal route to St. Davids (via Haverfordwest, Newgale and Solva), before heading back to Fishguard Harbour (designated stop), travelling through Dinas Cross and Square and Compass, before heading for the finish at Llysyfran Reservoir Country Park, with entries expected to arrive back between 1 and 4 pm.

The North Pembrokeshire Run, which will be started by popular Pembrokeshire County Councillor Peter Stock, has already attracted entries from all over the country, as well as the much anticipated arrival of over 30 entries from classic car clubs in Ireland. They have been superb hosts to The Celtic Charity Classic Tour who have just returned from their third successful annual tour of the emerald isle.

The event, which is being supported by The Refreshing North Pembrokeshire Project and Stena Line, is being held in conjunction with The Classics at the Manor (Scolton Classic Show) which is being held the next day (Sunday, June 5), making it a truly Welsh Classic Weekend with a real Celtic presence.

All proceeds from the run, which has a £5 entry fee per car/bike, will go to The Chemotherapy Day Unit at West Wales General Hospital, and anyone is free to enter on the day, but to receive a commemorative rally board, entries must be registered in advance which can be done by email ([email protected]) or call Norman on 07969313892.
