Classic car enthusiasts from throughout Wales are eagerly waiting to participate in the third annual Celtic Classic Tour of Ireland which will officially start at 12 noon this coming Thursday, April 21, from The Snooty Fox Inn, near Martletwy, Narberth.
The two previous tours have not only seen entrants have a great fun-filled few days with classics runs and displays organised by Irish classic car clubs, with traditional Irish hospitality and welcome always guaranteed, but have already raised nearly £9,000 for the two nominated charities, CRY (Dean Mason Memorial Fund) and Meningitis Now.
This year’s tour will have over 70 entries (34 vehicles) and the public are encouraged to turn up at the start (registration from 10.30 am) to have a look at the fine line-up of cars from many decades of motoring and give a lovely Pembrokeshire send-off, which would be appreciated in front of the television cameras, who plan to show the start and follow the convoy through Narberth and Fishguard on the way to the Stena Line ferry terminal on their S4C Heno Programme that same evening.
