February 28, Ash Wednesday - Mass with Distribution of Ashes, 9.30 am at Saundersfoot, 11 am and 7 pm at St. Teilo's, Tenby.
Each year during Lent the Catholic congregation at Tenby and Saundersfoot adopt a particular charitable cause. Last year they raised £2,600 for handicapped children.
This year the object is to help re-house two destitute families in Moldova, formerly part of the Soviet Union. The fund-raising activities will include special collections, a sponsored walk, coffee mornings, a raffle and bingo, as well as projects run by the Ladies Guild, the Parish Youth Group and St. Teilo's School. Any support for this cause is welcome.
The careful distribution of this aid in Moldova is organised by Mrs. Val Newton MBE, of Carmarthen, who runs Wales Romania/Moldova Aid.
