Narberth A Cappella Voice Festival 2014 is very proud (and patriotic) this year to present a true star of Welsh music and culture, namely Caryl Parry Jones.
One of the outstanding Welsh language artists of her generation, she's a singer and composer of great versatility, and with a brand new primetime series airing now on S4C (more on that below) she is a performer at the peak of her powers!
Caryl was only a teenager when she started making waves with her band Sidan, and since then she has embarked on an undeniably impressive music career and much more, having appeared on TV in a variety of other roles: as a presenter, actress, and comedian.
You can catch her brand new primetime series for S4C, simply titled Caryl, on Saturdays at 8.30 pm.
Caryl also presents the BBC Radio Cymru breakfast show alongside Dafydd Du, on weekdays from 8.30 to 10.30 am.
If you're unfamiliar with her songs and would like to listen, her artist page on the website of Welsh record label Sain has a variety of clips, or you can have a look on YouTube.
Caryl Parry Jones will perform a mix of a cappella standards and Welsh classics with her group The 4o5s at the opening night of the festival next Friday, February 21. Also appearing on the night are Helen Chadwick and Tempus.
