Repair works to improve the condition of the historic canons that sit on Tenby’s Castle Hill is in sight.
Last year councillors in Tenby called for a major spruce up of the Castle Hill area, with Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas telling her colleagues that major maintenance work needed carrying out in that area of the resort, including cleaning up the canons, and painting their plinths too.
“Pembrokeshire County Council are now manufacturing new bases for the canons through the firm Norman Industries, and once ready they will bring in lifting gear to put the new bases in as part of a rolling programme,” the town clerk, Andrew Davies, told members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night.
