A Begelly man charged with drink-driving has had his case adjourned for a case management hearing next month.

Forty-six-year-old Stephen Robert Bradley appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, charged with driving his vehicle when above the alcohol limit.

Police officers stopped Mr. Bradley on February 20, whilst driving his Nissan Primastar on the A477 Pembroke Dock road.

A test he gave to police officers at Haverfordwest police station proved positive, showing a reading of 99 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeding the prescribed limit.

Mr. Bradley's solicitor, Mr. James Subbiani, told the magistrates that he was awaiting an expert's report on further investigations, as there was a suggestion that medication the defendant was taking at the time, may have played a part in the high reading that showed up on his test.

Magistrates released Mr. Bradley on unconditional bail and he was listed for a case management hearing in June.
