For 2015, the Carten100, which takes place on Saturday, May 9, will be raising funds for Velindre Cancer Care, which provides radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other specialised anti-cancer treatments for South Wales.
The organisers hope to repeat the success of previous years and have to date raised over £330,000 for charity since 2006.
This year the ride will also be supporting two smaller charities based in Pembrokeshire, namely HOPE (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Physiotherapy) and Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Care Unit.
Riders are encouraged to get themselves sponsored and any residual funds from running the Carten are donated to the charity. Entry is limited to 2,000 places and 2014 sold out in under four hours!
This year's entry will include - post ride food in Tenby, and a redesigned 'one off' 10th anniversary cycle shirt
The Carten is not a race, not a sportive, just a social ride to Tenby, offering a challenge to many, fun to others and social cycling for all. There is no timing and no racing, just a chance to share the joy of cycling with your family, friends and colleagues.
